I've always lived in an area of FL that, at minimum, received the outer bands from a storm coming in on either coast. Fortunately, I've also never had to evacuate because of a storm. My prayer is for safety over those having to leave their homes.
For the rest of us that can ride it out, I pray we use wisdom. I remember the storms from the early 2000s. People were leaving their homes and driving around to "sight see".

Dmy daughter plans to drive back to orlando tomorrow. She is hoping things in her apartment were not damaged.

Looks like I will be replacing my entire fence (Matthew took down a good portion of it)... but for being close to the coast, I think I was VERY lucky....
Can anyone explain to me why insurance companies for Florida have a different deductible on your home owners for hurricane's....
