I wanted to book for NY's and I was wondering if we don't go in the park on the 31st, do the resorts do anything to celebrate at mid-night? Or do the guest take it upon themselves to make the night fun?
Been there, done that and going back!!! See ya real soon !!!
We stayed at the A0A this past NYE and from the Hour Glass Lake we could see the fireworks from a park .... I cannot for the life of me think of which park it was, but it was a very good viewing. I'm thinking they piped in the music as well. They also had movies set up and were selling noise makers, giving out hats .... so yeah, the resort is a fun place to ring in the new year. We actually played a few cards sitting by the pool till close to midnight ....
Thank you, I'm going to book something soon. I have always wanted to be there for NY's. Everyone always says it's way too crazy & crowded to even enjoy it, but I'm thinking a resort wouldn't be so bad. Thinking of Ft. Wilderness cabins.

A few of the resorts put on a fancy party ($$$$). I know California Grill does a big gala that is like $500 per person, but there is often a party at Atlantic Dance Hall as well as at a few other signature restaurants. Disney hasn't yet released details about this year but they should do that soon.

I went down for NYE Eve last year and almost every resort seemed to have something special going on, party by the pool or in a special spot. Grand Floridian had a big balloon drop and music and dancing. There were a lot of options. Although spending NYE in Epcot was amazing, crowded and crazy, totally but worth it!

My sister was gonna do Epcot too but changed her mind at the last minute and came over from Riverside to hang out with us. We've done NYE at MK and it was CRAZY CRAZY !!! We had a great time at A0A and would do it again. Seeing the fireworks from the lake was VERY good and we had tons on room around us, not like MK where we moved as a mass and not as individuals. haha......
