I do not think there are any Freestyle machines anywhere on Disney property.

There is one, but it's at the Coca Cola rooftop bar in Disney Springs. Oh, and 3 in the DVC Member lounge atop Journey Into Imagination.

Rumors keep circulating that they're coming to the resorts. I did read on another board that one was set up in the temporary POFQ food court but can't confirm that.

Someone told me those machines cost $500k. I work in a lab with highly specialized instrumentation that costs close to $300k so I can't believe it would cost more to Minute Maid strawberry lemonade, but that's neither here nor there. What I can believe is that Coke says it costs about 30% more per month to operate a Freestyle machine. So while Coke is already paying Disney for the right to be their official soft drink, I can't imagine they'd want to pay another more any time soon just to give WDW guests more flavors.

I WISH they had them. I love caffeine free diet coke, and it's not available at any resorts, but I can get it in the freestyle machines. They were in the Chase Lounge during the F&W festival. Ironically one of the very few places where I've gotten caffeine free diet coke is at Boulangerie Pasterie, not exactly a low-calorie healthy place.

Yeah, but while Coca-Cola may be paying for the "Official Sponsor" rights, it's the guests who are paying for the actual drinks. The costs of the machines are will just be passed on to the paying customers by raising the price.

Your source is quite a bit off on the cost. The machines require an electrician with some IT know-how and a plumber to install so they are not drop in replacements. My guess the reason they aren't moving in very fast is the cost of removal and installation.

I'm going to guess the 30% more per month operating costs are a result of break down and repair. Not that the machines break down more, but when something goes wrong its electronics and circuit boards. Think 1950s car repairs vs 2016 car repairs.

Fun Fact the machine orders it's own syrup and flavors via WiFi connection when it's running low.

I'm just not a fan of the freestyle machines. They take too long to operate, the screens do not always work properly, and so many choices make the wait even longer. If they keep the regular machines and provide these as an option, I'd be on board for that.

I don't love them, either. They do create longer lines if kids are allowed to go up and "play" with them. And I find that my beverages always taste off, like whatever the person before me got. Burger King and Moe's have them, and even if I "bleed the line" a little to empty the line of whatever flavor the person before me got, the drinks still just taste weird.

I love those machines. I've used them at the AMC, Moes and at 5 Guys. I've never had a bleed over flavor, but I always pick Rootbeer, so it's multi flavored anyway. I liked that fun fact, honestly everything now day's relies on wifi ....
