Fast Pass Plus how to

Hi, fast pass+ newbie here...I want to make sure I understand that this is the way this works...please correct me if any of this is incorrect! and answers to any of my questions appreciated!!!

-we are staying offsite so at 30 days before I can make my fast passes.

-we can make 3 per day for one park only

-it would make sense to make them for as early as we are going to be in the park, correct? So if we will be in park by 9, make a fast pass from 9-10. Then consecutively like 10-11, 11-12...because we can't make a fourth until these are all used.

-we should make them for historically long wait rides correct?

-should we pay attention to location of the attractions in the park? Like if we make one at one ride, don't make one right after all the way across the park?

-we have our family of 6...but then are meeting up with more family for one of our park days. would it make sense to link up all our tickets and get the same fast passes on that day?
