Default Staying on or getting off

Hubby and I are having a discussion about staying on the ship at certain ports because we just are not interested in one of the Ports. If anybody has stayed on the ship during a port call what are some of your favorite things to do?

We didn't get off much at all on our last cruise. There wasn't anything in particular we did while others were exploring ports. We hung out at the pool and hot tub and found that it was a good time to ride the water coaster without any lines. We sat out on our balcony and/or explored the ship. Just enjoyed not having anything in particular we had to do.

On the shorter cruises, specifically in Nassau, we stay aboard. Classic case of "been there, done that" so we also get in some uncrowded pool time, and just kick back with a good book while soaking up some sunshine. There's also lighter crowds at the buffet, and plenty of tables available.

We always stay on in Nassau. Mini Golf, shuffleboard, and the pool deck are all much less crowded. Maybe a movie in the theater. If we didn't have kids to worry about, would see if there was a mixology or tasting event taking place. Or just hang on the adult pool area and read/relax.

    My recommendations...

    Stay On Board:
    San Juan
    Nassau
    Barbados
    Martinique

Most of them just weren't even the "Been There Done That" experience... Nassau maybe, but not impressed.
