What an interesting thread.

We stayed at POFQ, during which we spent much time at the POR pool. It's ensconced in an alcove of palm and pine trees that lend an air of intimacy. The slide is a big hit with the kiddos, and there's a small bar, so one may partake in an adult beverage.

We're big fans of the PO resorts. In addition to that pool, we love the food court at POFQ, the boat to DTD, and the whole feel of the place. Classic Disney theming that is so transporting. Yes, it is perhaps a bit of a step down from the deluxes; but pound for pound, it possesses more than its fair share of Disney magic, managing to cast a spell just the same.

We visited CS, and agree with those who find it lacking in Disney feel. However, all the positive posts here from CS fans, many of whom love the theming, have me wondering: Maybe if we had stayed there first, we'd be in their camp.

Just goes to show once again, somebody's doing something right at Disney.

We love Port Orleans Riverside! My favorite moderate! I like CSR but it is not my first choice moderate resort.
