    Question Beach Club Villas

Is there anyone that has stayed at the Beach Club Villas in the past 2 months or so that can comment firsthand on the status of the room renovations there? I have been seeing conflicting reports.

If you've stayed recently in an unrenovated room, I'm looking for an honest assessment of condition. I'm trying to compare what to expect as compared to my experiences staying in a Boardwalk Villa twice just before renovations. There, I found the villas to be in fine, clean, and working condition. One time the laundry closet door appeared to be broken, but I called maintenance and they fixed it within 15 minutes.

I have a December stay booked and am wondering what to expect. I love the Beach Club generally, but might try to switch to the Boardwalk Villas.

We stayed there Aug 25 - Sep 3.

We were told by DVC CMs there that the renovation has been put on hold until next year (Spring?). For sure, no studios have been renovated. While obviously I have not personally checked every room, we did not see any signs of renovation activity on any floor, and there appeared to be guests on every floor and in every wing.

We were in a studio. It was in really good shape, but yes, there were definitely signs of wear. I've stayed in non DVC rooms that were in a lot worse shape.

We had a great stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again before the upcoming refurbishment.

I was there in June and heard the same thing about postponement. We were in a 2br villa. I thought it was in pretty good shape.

Just stayed there in June and there was renovation work going on at the end of the hall from us. One of the days they were bringing up all these new flat panel tv's and asked the workers if they could deliver those to my car. Not sure what they were doing but it never was noisy or anything. We were in a 2 bedroom that was not renovated and it was in good condition. They were also working on the lobby in the DVC building which included sanding/staining the wood floors and painting. Always had parts open and the workers were super nice and polite all the time.
