Where do they leave your bag? Inside the room? I've used ME loads of times but always claimed my own luggage. Thinking of maybe letting Disney handle it this time, but I'm a bit worried I'll be stressing about my bag and not enjoying the park.

Indeed...your bags will magically arrive in your room.

ME is a great perk, no doubt about it. We also prefer to handle our own luggage. The reason we do so was a delay in the delivery of our luggage when we arrived later in the evening on one trip. It really is no big deal to schlep our own suitcases.

While I certainly never thought of this, one benefit of Magical Express is that if your luggage is delayed coming off the plane, you aren't.
We recently waited at baggage claim (not at Orlando International Airport) for an 1 1/2 hours to get our luggage - apparently the door to the luggage compartment was damaged and it took that long to get it opened.
Typically, though, we pack pretty light and carry on. However, in the event that wouldn't be practical, I would pack a what I need to survive 24 hours in my carry-on and let DME deal with the checked luggage.
Have a Magical Day!

Nothing to worry about We have used them for years and love finding our luggage in the room after a long day at the parks.

One of the things I like best about Disney World vacations is that I feel like I'm completely taken care of, and Magical Express is one of my favorite components of that. If you really want to take your luggage on board the bus, there's no problem. But I urge you to give the luggage tags a try. Just make sure you have anything essential (like meds) in your carry-on, just as you would normally flying anywhere. It's really great, though, to check your luggage in your home airport, and then forget about it, only to come back to your room later that night and find your luggage has just magically appeared there.

I just used Magical Express again after an 8 year hiatus (we would come to WDW from Tampa in that 8 year period). I found the service to be just fine. I used the luggage tags and my sister did not. She did carry on only and flew in from a different airport. My bag was waiting for me when we got back from dinner in Epcot.
While I liked the service, we are going back to renting a car for our November trip. The amount of time it took to go between resorts using WDW transportation was too time consuming for us.

Love Love Love Love Magical Express! Checked our luggage at our home airport and didn't see or deal with it again until it was delivered to our room at Port Orleans Riverside about 30 minutes after we checked in! The day we headed back home we checked our luggage at the resort and didn't see it again until we got back to our home airport. Was absolutely awesome and I surely hope they never do away with it!
