Customizing bands

Can I have my magic bands customized and sent to us even if we may change our resort before our stay? We are on the waitlist for anther resort but my kids would love to get their bands now.

The bands are sent around the 29 day mark. You can customize them now but they won't be sent until then. If your waitlist comes through you will need to customize another set.

And the only reason you have to do that is that when a waitlist reservation comes through, member services cancels the original reservation and books a new one for you - changing the reservation number in the process. The bands are linked to the reservation number, so when they cancel that first reservation, the info about your bands goes away as well and you have to start over.

IF, the waitlist were to come through after the bands have shipped, those bands will still be good on the new reservation, AND, you'll have the option to get a second set of bands as well.

It seems a bit confusing, but it all works.
