    Default Transportation Question

Ok - the trip is like 165 days away yet. But I was looking at a map of the campground and it indicated that transportation to/from all 4 parks was at Settlement Depot.

In 2013 we bussed Epcot, AK & HS from Outpost Depot. MK was boat from Settlement Depot area.

I find maps showing both online and I can't seem to confirm which is current (newer information).

Reason I am trying to figure this out is related to how long do I need to rent a golf cart - for example our first full day we are planning to have breakfast at Chef Mickey's then take the Monorail to Epcot. So which end of the Fort do I park the golf cart at, etc.?

Any advice/help is greatly appreciated - thanks!

Boats to the Magic Kingdom still leave from the Pioneer Hall end of the park. I believe you can bus to the Magic Kingdom from the other end of the park.

It seems that nothing at Disney changes more often than the transportation system.

According to the current Fort Wilderness map, boat transportation to the Magic Kingdom, Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary Resort leaves from Settlement Depot at the marina. There is no direct bus transportation to the Magic Kingdom.

All bus transportation to Epcot, Studios, Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney and the water parks leaves from Outpost Depot near the FW entrance.

Thanks for the responses. I do think you guys are right (I looked at the dates of the maps I was looking at found them to be older).

So yes from what I can tell boat to MK at north end and bus other 3 parks from south end.

    Thank you for the responses.

...planning to have breakfast at Chef Mickey's then take the Monorail to Epcot.

For Chef Mickey's it's important to remember there are TWO boats that go MK - Fort Wilderness: One is an MK-FW ONLY and the other is MK-FW-WLodge - Contemporary Resort - a "local' boat.

Taking the boat that stops at CR makes it a SNAP (ask Mary Poppins) to boat FW to CR then escalators to Chef Mickey's.

SIGNS at the dock at FW will indicate which pennant color is which boat OR ask boat cast member, "Is this the boat that stops at the Contemporary?"

(PS you will need to take Monorail from CR to TT to transfer to the EPCOT monorail).

(PPS: The 'local' boat makes Wilderness Lodge dining easy to access from FW.)
