Default BC villa or Poly villa

Planning a trip for later this year and trying to decide between the Beach Club Villas or the Poly Villas. Adult only trip with my parents being 2 of the adults (both in their mid 70s).

Pools aren't important and I do like that BC villas are walking distance to the world showcase. I also like that the Poly villas are newer, but don't know how far we'd have to walk to/from transportation or the main house.

Any suggestions or something I should consider?

    Thanks for any input!

Never stayed at Poly, but have stayed at BCV. We loved the closeness to Epcot, and walking around the Boardwalk in the evening.

It seems like BCV would be a better fit for your party.

I'd go with BCV. For an adult trip, being close to Epcot, with all of its restaurants, and having the Boardwalk in close proximity will be very nice. Since you won't have kids with you, I would think that you likely won't spend any more time at MK than any of the other parks. Given that BCV is walking distance (or a short boat ride) to two of the four parks is also a benefit.

I also am partial to newer things, but for me, the other aspects noted above would trump the newness of Poly. One concern, though -- I believe that the main BC (not the Villas) is currently being renovated, and BCV is not far behind. You might want to check into the renovation timetable to determine what effect that might have on your stay and whether it will impact your decision.

Thank you for the things to think about. I had been leaning toward BCV, my daughter's vote is in for Poly V, and the other two said they would be happy with either. We will be having a couple dinners at Epcot, however MK (even without kids) is the favorite park for 3 of us. I'm pretty sure there isn't a wrong choice. Just looking for the best choice.

Up side - I know we'll be happy with either place - we'll be a Disney World!

The villa hard goods refurbishments are expected to start in the next week or so and be completed by late June.

I had heard that the BC Villas would be renovated next as soon as they finish BC and that might put them into the latter part of the year. I would check on this. The villas at Poly would be a lot farther to walk from the main CH and transportation but riding the monorail to MK and Epcot would be a plus. BC is a short walk to the International Gateway at Epcot but a bus ride away from MK and AK. You can get to HS by boat.

Thanks for the input. We weighed the pros and cons and basically just decided we love the newness of the Poly Villas and we've always loved the Polynesian Resort. So, we just went with it.

Now trying to line up dining and FP+ choices. I love planning!
