Default I Be Done Seen About Everything When I See An Elephant Fly..

Disney has announced that Tim Burton will direct the "Live Action" version of Dumbo.

Yes, Dumbo is coming to you live!

Dumbo, still in development does not have a release date yet. The movie will feature computer generated effects and live actors. There is indication that the story will be broader than the original tale of the cute little circus elephant.

I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

Uh, pass. This sounds like a train wreck, to be honest. Tim Burton stuff freaks me out.

No, no, no! I am tired of the remake fever that has overtaken Hollywood. As long as that is the prevailing trend, I'll save my money and stay home and watch my collection of DVD originals!

They will not be using real elephants. Just CGI.

I know. Just find it interesting with all the Bad press circus animal acts are getting that they would choose this movie.

I love Tim Burton movies, but I don't see myself wanting to watch this one. I don't like watching the original, it's too sad! And, I agree, why this one? There are so many other good ones to choose from!

I agree with everyone ... why? I think I'm really missing something, I just don't see how this could ever turn out well.

Wow! A lot of negativity here. How dare Disney remake the classic Dumbo. I guess Disney should have never even considered making a live action remake of Cinderella, either. After all, it's been done before and therefore couldn't possibly be many fans that would want to see that done.

I may be just completely wrong, but I'd bet Burton's Dumbo will make a ton of money, just like his version of Alice.

I'm not against it but I'm not feeling this one either. I'm really not that excited about the live action Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast unless they have new to offer other than just being live action.

Maleficent was excellent as an extension of the Sleeping Beauty story but I'm not a fan of a remake just because. However I am a big Tim Burton fan so I'll be interested to see the final product.

Interesting. Not writing it off yet, but I'm skeptical as to how good this will be. I like Tim Burton, but this seems like it could be terrible. Could be great too though. You never know. As for the live-action remakes, I'm kind of a fan of the idea, just don't need to go crazy with it. Beauty and the Beast is my second favorite Disney movie, so I'm incredibly excited for that. I think Dumbo is a good choice for this though if it can be pulled off well because I feel like a lot of children aren't watching this classic and it could introduce them to it since it's something new. What we really need though is more new hand-drawn films like Princess and the Frog. By far the best newer Disney movie IMO.

So, lets start taking guesses as to what part Johnny Depp plays...

Timothy Q. Mouse is my guess...

Come on, it won't be a Tim Burton movie without Johnny Depp... I'd say Helena Bonham Carter too, but since she split from Burton, who knows...
Son of Jor-El.. Kneel before Zod...

TRICIA JONES: I heard that you were going to propose to Brandi Svenning at some theme park. When are men going to learn that women want ROMANCE, not Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...

BRODIE: Hey, now, be fair. EVERYONE wants Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

It could! And, maybe when I see the trailer I'll change my mind and want to go see it. For me, it doesn't have anything to do with them remaking a classic. I just never liked Dumbo in the first place.
