Wishes Fastpass viewing area
I know this just opened, but has anyone done it? Not sure if I want to use a fast pass for this? It would be nice to have a reserved area as not to fight the crowds!!!

I have not used it yet but, I did see some pics from someone who did. The viewing area looked nice, and the views of the castle and fireworks appeared to be good.
However, there is one drawback to using a FP+ for Wishes (or any of the nighttime shows). You give up pretty much any chance of getting a 4th (or more) FP since Wishes is held at the end of the day. That is the one thing that would dissuade me from using it.

Good point! Thanks for your input.

I would never under any circumstances..waste a fp on wishes. I LOVE WISHES..but the views at the beginning (flag pole area) IMHO are as good as any area. And, of course no fp needed. Like another poster stated...you won't get a 4th FP by doing that....

We used the FP for Wishes when it was in the old area. We loved using it. We showed up 10 minutes before the show started and we had a great view. Most other people had been standing in the middle of Main Street for 45+. Since we didn't have to show up until the last minute, we rode Pirates and Jungle Cruise with no wait (everyone else was waiting for Wishes)!
I'd do it again depending on my touring schedule.

We loved the FP+ For the parade at night...and just stayed in place for the fireworks. Yep, it was a bit too close to the castle, but the spot and wait time was perfect! And we were there all day and didn't want or need additional FP

Silly question, but I thought this might be the prefect place to ask it.....
When the East side of the Plaza Viewing area opens, will there be separate FP+ options for East vs. West?
I would think there would have to be due to the size(s) of the area(s). They wouldn't want to give out 1,000 FP+ options for Wishes viewing and have all 1,000 try to use the East (or West) viewing area. [On a personal note: I would use the East area because I like having Tinkerbell fly directly overhead! ]

I'm wondering if I should use my 3rd Fastpass on the night we arrive for this. We have ADRs at 6:55pm at Liberty Tree I was going to do a 8pm 9pm and 10pm FP bc we wont get to the park until around 6pm. It's the Saturday before Memorial Day. The park is open until midnight with EMH until 2am. If you were going to use a FP at 10pm anyway is the viewing spot worth it?

Pick a day where maybe you spend your day at the hotel taking a break, then go do 1 FP ride, then MSEP and Wishes.

That's the day we get there, staying at AKL.

I did not use a FP+ for wishes but the viewing area did look nice.
About using the FP+ for shows, what I discovered on my trip last week, was that FP+ for shows are available much later than for some of the most popular rides. After using our original 3 FP+ at HS I was not able to get another FP+ for TSM, RnR or ToT. However, there were still FP+ available for Fantasmic.

Oh wow that awesome! Are you ready to book your FP+Tuesday because I stressing.
Talked to the fam we have never really seen the fireworks show on Main Street or otherwise so we are going for this. We happened to be on Big Thunder for New Years when the big fireworks were going off but thats really the extent of our fireworks viewing. We normally just look up wherever we happen to be.

During really busy times, I would think it well worth it to use FP for this purpose.
Few days before Christmas, year before last, a large group of our family including the little ones attended Wishes, and we really couldn't find a good place to stand. What might have been one of the most memorable events of the trip lost a fair measure of magic.
Bit of a shame. Had it existed then, FP option certainly would have been the call.
