Driving to the Terminal from Vero Beach

This summer we are spending some time at Vero Beach before Cruising on the Dream. My question is, which route is the best way to get to the terminal? Do we drive up the A1A or do we go inland to take the I-95? We sail on a Monday and were wondering of the traffic/congestion issues on either route.

If your not in a hurry and want to see the sites then take the A1A. I will warn you though that there is a ton of stop lights so the travel is slow. If you just want to get there then head over to the highway. I made the drive down A1A from the port last year at spring break because I wanted to stop at Ron Jon surf shop plus some other stores and it was slow going. We returned on the highway which was so much quicker.

Thanks, I think that we will take your advice. I could only imagine the stress if we get delayed in traffic while heading to the port. We have all week so we will have lots of time to check out the A1A before we sail.

We will be driving to Vero again mid June, wish we were going on a cruise also.
