    Default Best Moderate?

I've stayed at all except Coronado Springs. However, it has been years so I do not know how the years have affected them! What is your favorite, if your going to pay the extra $100 a night over the values, which moderate resort would it be for? Or, would you pick Art of animation or Pop Century over them ?

Riverside for me. But I am probably a little bias on that because it was the first one we stayed at on our first trip.

It's been a few years since I've stayed at any of the moderates but my favorites are Port Orleans French Quarter and Coronado Springs resort.

I have only stayed at two, CBR and POFQ. Of those I prefer POFQ. I like the smaller size and that there is only one bus stop for that resort.

I've stayed at all the moderates and can say there's not really a "best." They all have positives. I think it's much more about which theme you like. For instance, CBR would be my absolute least favorite. Not because there's anything wrong with it but because I live at the beach. I see beach stuff every day of the year so I don't want that at a resort, but it's still a good resort.

Are they worth it over the values? Only if you plan to take advantage of the amenities. If you're a park commando and only sleep at the resort, no, it's not worth it. If you enjoy pool time and some of the extra perks of a resort, they're definitely worth it.

We have stayed at them all. I'll list them in order of our preference.

    1. CBR - We like the beachy/tropical theme.
    2. POFQ - Liked the smaller size of this resort.
    3. CSR - Stayed once, never had a desire to return, but it was nice.
    4. POR - We just don't like this resort. Being from Louisiana perhaps has something to do with it, just not a fan.

I would also vote for POFQ, if we were going to spend the extra. Love its compact size and "feel".

But we also love Pop Century and most of the time, the $$ is a big factor for us.

We've stayed at all four and love all four. Each have something to offer:

POR: I love the morning walk, winding through the Alligator Bayou, past Ole Man Island (theme music playing,) to the Riverside Mill food court. Plus, love boat ride to DTD.

CSR: Pepper Market is my favorite moderate food court. Beautiful Lake. Best sit-down restaurant (Maya Grill) of the four mods.

PFQ: Quaint. Perfect. Not a bad room in the resort. Boat ride to DTD. "Freshly-made Beignets!" 'Nuff said.

CBR: Big. Lots of activities. Love eating outside the food court, overlooking the lake with the pool-commotion noise in the background.

If I think real hard, the resort I'm most excited to return to is POR. But I don't think there's a bad choice in the lot.

I've stayed at CSR the past 6 years and truely enjoy the stay. The only other moderate I have stayed at is CBR and prefer CSR. I've heard nice thing about POFQ and plan to stay there on an upcoming trip. CSR is laid out beautifully and the fitness center and spa are a tipping point for me over the other moderates.

I have stayed at all 4 and ever since I stayed at Port Orleans in 2007, I have not stayed anywhere else since. Riverside and POFQ are my absolute favorite moderates. The Royal Rooms have been my favorite room I've stayed in so far! I do give the edge to French Quarter for its smaller size and charm. I just love the grounds and colors. No matter which of the 7 buildings you are in, you are close to the main area. I also like the buses at FQ more. There is 1 stop. When we were just there in November, we only shared buses with POR a handful of times but mostly we had our own bus. The boats to DTD are a very nice touch to get away from the buses a little. The theme is on point and I just feel like I am in that disney bubble from the moment I step foot off of DME. Can't wait to go back to French Quarter in November.
Been there, Haven't done it all...GOING BACK!!!

Just got back from 9 nights in the "World" and stayed, for our 3rd consecutive time at Riverside.

Granted, we are a family of 5, so in the past we've been extremely limited to what mod we can stay at (CBR has just opened up to families of 5).

Even if we were a family of 4, I'd take Riverside hands down. Best pool of the mods, a great food court with more options than I believe most have. Incredibly themed grounds with lots of quiet spots. Transportation by boat to DTD and a close walk to POFQ.

Some people say its too big or too confusing, I just don't get that. My morning walk to the food court on the paths were probably the most relaxing and quiet parts of my days. I don't know that you even get that at the Deluxes. POR also boasts maybe the best entertainment on property, YeeHaw Bob Jackson, who performs at the RiverRoost. Every night he was there, it was jammed packed and guests from all over were getting into it. He's a classic.

I do want to try something at the Deluxe level, but if I'm at a mod, make it Riverside.
