I'll update this first post each day with the forecast (though I'll occasionally miss a day), both long and short term. As a general rule, up to 7 days is a pretty accurate forecast, beyond that it's educated guessing and largely dependent upon how well the models are doing at that moment, which is why I call it "voodooland." If you have any specific weather questions or comments, even if it's for an area other than WDW, please post and I'll answer throughout the thread. I'll also post weather tidbits every so often. Without further delay, let's get to the forecast:
Weather at WDW - Update Saturday pm, January 31, 2015
The high today has made it up to 70. Tomorrow should be mostly dry, only a minimal chance of a quick shower, with a high around 75. Monday will be, again, 73-75 but there's a good chance of showers and thunderstorms. It won't rain all day, but a squall line will come through at some point, probably early afternoon. Tuesday and Wednesday look dry with highs around 65 on Tuesday and 70-72 on Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms become widespread on Thursday with a high 70-72. Friday some lingering light showers could remain bu they look much more isolated with a high around 60, but that will occur in the middle of the night. Temps will fall into the upper 40s with a brisk north wind by the afternoon. Saturday is clear with a high 62-64.
Long range...Feb 8-16 doesn't show any major rain issues. A couple of days where light hit and miss stuff are possible, but we don't worry about that out in voodooland. Feb 8-14 highs look like they'll hand in the low 70s, but Feb 15-16 could be a good bit cooler with highs dropping into the low 50s.
Travel Issues
No major issues today or tomorrow.
Any of you who are nervous about flying, especially related to turbulence, go here and here to learn a lot about turbulence and other issues that sometimes cause anxiety when flying. Hopefully all of this will help you relax and enjoy the trip to WDW more!
