Default Be Our Guest Fastpass Test

Just got an email inviting us to a FP test for lunch at Be Our Guest.

Using the supplied link I was able to set a time for lunch, order for our entire party, and charge it to our Dining Plan.

    Anyone else get this email?

Disney is apparently still sending these emails out giving the impression that you are in on a secret mission, but in reality everyone gets these emails. Also, FP+ is now the ONLY way to eat lunch at Be Out Guest, there is not a standby line available anymore, so it's a good thing you got your meal reserved!

We did this last weekend. However, our preorder was not there when we got to the kiosk. The preorder line was shorter than the non-preorder line. We ate at 11am and were finished by 11:40. We loved eating in the West Wing. Atmosphere and food were wonderful. We liked it better than dinner which we did summer 2013. Enjoy your meal!

How long before your trip do these emails generally come out? We're at 32 days today and still haven't received one.

I got an email like that about a month before our trip. I placed the order for everyone's meals, and was given a little plastic round rose when I checked in. The preorder line was horribly long. We waited in it for about 30 minutes. When we got to the kiosk, our meal could not be found, so I had to go through the entire order again (for 6 people), which took even longer. I was not impressed with the line or the loss of our order that took me awhile to put together, but I was happy to have a place at BOG because I was unable to secure dinner there (and would not have wasted a FP on it!)

You don't need an email invite anymore.
    Just go to this website:

    https://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com

You'll need you Disney resort reservation number (must be staying on-site), but that's it.

If they have truly eliminated stand-by access for lunch, then yes, to get a FP to eat BOG lunch it seems you must now be a Disney Resort guest.

They have not totally eliminated the standby line. They will let people do standby VERY early on, like from 10:30-11 and at the very end of lunch service, after 1:30pm.

I tried this link every day for about 2 weeks before our trip, but there was never any availability. I was only able to secure lunch at BOG once I received the email.

Exactly. When I was there in November, I had the FP for lunch, but the Cast Member was telling people that they were not taking walk ups at this time but they could try around 1:30 as they may be taking walk ups at that time. I can tell you when I went there for my lunch FP around 12:30, it was packed and I had to hunt to find a table.

They have gone overboard with this fast pass stuff and are turning so many people off. In the last couple of weeks I have had so many people that have been loyal customers tell me that they are tired of the over planning and restrictions they have in place now. We just sold our timeshare and are using the last weeks we have in April....after that not sure if we will be going back for a while. As a family we are just not that excited anymore.

That might explain why, when looking for MK fast passes last week for our January trip, that Be Our Guest wasn't an option. I assumed that it would be in among the other attractions. We're not staying on-site. That would explain it.

    That stinks, BTW.

Nope, Be Our Guest is never listed as an option when looking at normal FP+ experiences, the only way to book one is to use the special website just for BOG reservations, which is https://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com .

We are 30 days out and there isn't a single opening for any day of our trip. Slowly finding less and less reasons to get excited about continuing to go to Disney as our families vacation of choice.

30 days is most likely outside the window of when times will open up. Many people have reported times to just start to show up around 20-27 days out, where nothing was available the day before. I recommend you just keep checking the website for the dates of your trip.

Amen. I miss the old days, it was much easier when when all you had to do to experience your favorite attraction was wait in line. We seem to be headed to the point where in order to do any of the popular attractions you will have to reserve your time months in advance.
