Pixar at the Movies with the CSO!

Had a wonderful time tonight with DH and the kids seeing the Pixar at the Movies concert by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra! It was a fantastic experience watching and listening to the musicians play the music we have loved all these years.

Clips from all 14 Pixar movies were shown accompanying the music. Favorites for me were the marriage montage and balloon launch in Up, the rats cooking for Anton Ego in Ratatouille, and a rousing anthem from The Incredibles. As you can imagine, there was a huge variety of instruments on stage.

We were there Froday night. Loved it, they did a wonderful job. Only thing I didn't like was the sequence from Up. I was sobbing like a baby!
