Oh yeah, How I Met Your Mother is one of my all-time faves. I didn't like the ending, but otherwise

Will & Grace. It was funny when it was new and it is still funny now, as I watch reruns.

As for current shows, Last Man on Earth on Fox is ridiculous. Seriously, laugh out loud funny. It won't last because it is probably too out there for mainstream. It will bite the dust after this season, I predict, but man, funny funny stuff on that show.

I hate, hate, hate falling for a show to only have it canceled after one or two seasons. I checked Netflix and Amazon and their not yet streaming Last Man. But I do love a good comedy.

    I know, me too!

Kath & Kim was a really funny one season show. Was on NBC, I think. It was funny enough that I bought the DVD of that one season for like $8 on Amazon.

We have DirecTV so I'll check that. I forget about that option so often.

As others have mentioned, The Carol Burnet Show. I just loved how they cracked each other up in the skits. Especially Tim Conway.

I also loved Mork & Mindy. Robin Williams made that show....nanu nanu. The other one I liked was The a Golden a Girls with the wise cracking Sophia. I still use one of her phrases.... "What a yutz"

Love the Goldbergs and Modern Family along with Black-ish.

However the best comedy on television right now is Bob's Burgers! This show never ceases to have me gut laughing. The writing is crisp, and the voice talent surpasses virtually every other animated sitcom outside of The Simpsons.

Definitely my favorite show these days hands down!

Ian loved the "Vet Stadium" scenes...they were so real, dirty walls and all. When Adam was in the bathroom and said "What is that" and Murray said "it's the troth" ...so funny.

And the JTP hanging at the Wawa...way before most people even knew what Wawa was.

As a side note to the cast of Carol Burnett- I got tickets to see Kelly and Michael in NYC a few years ago. After the show, I was walking towards Times Square and outside one of the studios I was asked if I wanted to attend a taping of Anderson Live. I said sure and then texted my daughters because honestly I knew nothing about the show. They said they really like him. Anyway (point of story-sorry ). The guests of the show were the cast of Carol Burnett. They were so funny and warm and you could tell they really like each other. Great fun!

Okay I going to add a couple of Netflix shows to the list. "Derek" a very funny and sweet show about a mentally challenged man who works at an old folks home. Next is "Unbreakable" about a woman who is rescued from a cult where she has been cut off from everything since she was a teenager, she decides to try life in New York. I know they sound strange but both shows are very funny and sweet.

The only current show I think is funny is Big Bang, but for me Scrubs was one of the funniest shows and my favorite. I was a little young to "get" Seinfeld, but was really into Friends. I also liked How I Met Your Mother.

I just finished season 1 of Grace and Frankie on Netflix, hate to sound like an add for NF but all I can say is WOW! The cast is great Jane Fonda, Lilly Tomlim, Martin Sheen and Sam Waterson. After 40 years of marriage Grace and Frankie find out their husbands are gay and want a divorce so they can be together in their finale years. The writing for this show is excellent for a subject that could really put a lot of people off.

One of my friends raves about this show. I think I'm going to give it a peek.
