Fabulous Four @ the Boardwalk!

Trip details:
Sat Aug 09 - Sat Aug 16 (driving days both Saturdays) 4 adults (3 Disney fanatics)

Sat Aug 9-
Started drive from NJ. Virginia traffic added 2 hours to our trip. Stopped in Savannah for the night. Fairfield Suites @ exit 104... ok nothing fancy. Definitely great area to stay so very convenient.

Sun Aug 10
Up early and over to Paula Deen's restaurant in Savannah for buffet lunch. We were curious what we would find.... WHAT. A. WASTE. Staff very helpful and sweet...food tasted like cafeteria food on a bad day! Buffet didn't have a great selection and of what was there I can make better at home. Don't even ask me about the desserts..... plastic and canned peaches ...enough said.

Quickly on road to Disney. Stopped at Florida Welcome Center for free oj. This is how we know vacation has started!!!!

Before we checked into Disney we stopped on International Drive for some Disney store outlet shopping.... International Drive traffic VERY AWFUL. Lots of construction. Sales were decent though so kinda worth it.

Checked in first to POP. We stayed just one night there. Assigned room in the 1950's... fine. Right by lady & the tramp. MY FAVES!!! Room was clean and ready when we arrived. Tight for 4 adults but doable for one night. Dropped off our bags and headed to busses to DTD. We were starving and wanted to get some shopping done too. Bus came right as we got to the line.

DTD
VERY CROWDED (is it ever not?!) LOTS OF CONSTRUCTION AND "walls" at every turn. Dinner at Wolfgang Express was delicious. Staff very nice. Shopping was ok. Found the elusive Belle Alex & Ani in Trendy so that was a relief. The Co-op was ok... seemed that everyone was very interested in the cell phone case designing. Walked to far end...loved the hot air balloon ride. Decided we would try it next visit. Shared a delicious sundae from Ghiradellis before heading back. Didn't wait long for bus at all. Soaked feet in pool at Pop then to bed. Big day as the next day we would truly start our Disney adventure!
