mini stroke

My trip to DW is just three months away. Went to dr. today and dr. has set me up for tests because thinks I've had a mini stroke. Hoping dr. is wrong. Has anyone ever had a mini stroke ? I still intend to take my DW vacation. I just hope some of the stuff thats messed up on me is better by then and that the tests show that this is not a mini stroke..May have to rent a scooter this year. Not sure I can walk it anymore. First back surgery, and now this...

My dad had a few mini strokes and had no real problem from them. He told me that the Dr put him on a blood thinner and some other medication that took care of the problem for him. I hope everything works as well for you..

Good luck to you and count yourself lucky - a mini stroke is a sort of warning about the real thing and is highly treatable where a true stroke may not be.

Just wanted to add that you can also have some mini-stroke type symptoms if your BP drops too low. This happened to me last summer and left me with blurry vision, bad night vision and a slight tremor in my right hand. Nothing too terrible but it was scary. I hope you are feeling better soon!
