Default Best for your buck Value Resort?

Hi, I've always stayed at the Moderate resorts and this year I am going to stay at a Value resort. Any suggestions on which one is the better option??

    Thanks!!

The rooms are pretty much the same in terms of size, AoA is the newest, followed by Pop. (Although most if not all the All Stars have received renos in the past few years). I like Pop because it is only a TINY amount more expensive than the all stars, seems much more spread out (though to some I guess this would be a negative) and there's the lake as well as the pathway around it. You can also go check out AoA. I've stayed there, it's beautiful for a value, I just don't see the extra money being worth it.

So take from that what you will, but I guess the bottom line is I would choose Pop unless there was some sort of weird deal where I saved a boatload of $$ going to the AS Resorts.

Awesome! Thanks. I've noticed on the videos I've watch I think i'd like Pop Century better than the others.

I personally found the beds at POP to be hard as a rock...But if you like a firm bed you'll be OK.

We actually preferred All Stars to Pop, it was too noisy for us and we liked the theming better...we've stayed at Movies and my family stayed at Sports both were great

Before we bought into DVC, our favorite value was POP. We've stayed at all the values except AoA. We like the larger food court and dedicated buses.

I think it comes down to which theme would interest you more. We like the All-Stars and Pop Century, though Pop Century is our preference.

POP has been my preference. although last time the food court was crowded and not as good. but you can walk to AOA. the location is better for me, closer to Epcot.

Another vote for POP. ASM is a close second, but it seems to usually be left off the promos (no free dining there, etc)

Pop fan here. Love their big food court and their gift shop. Almost every room at Pop is closer than the little mermaid rooms at AofA (and we've stayed in both). I wasn't fond of AofA's food court arrangement for some reason. I don't like the "pods" of seating - seemed very almost claustrophobic or something. I prefer the openness of Pop.

We prefer the values over the moderates in general because there is only one stop at the resort too - the thought of getting back to your resort and waiting through the multiple stops is just not appealing to us. The theming at the moderates is not all that appealing to us either.

We've only ever stayed at Pop, but we really liked it. The dedicated buses and more central location wins every time for us!! The only thing we didn't like over the mods was it seems noisier and it is missing a hot tub. If it weren't for those 2 things, we'd go back to Pop every time.

We really like all the value resorts. We never spend very much time at the resort so for us the values are a better deal. We have splurged, from time to time, for special occasions or a great discount on a room.

That being said, we like the larger food court at POP and the fact they have their own bus service

Whichever resort you pick you will not be disappointed!

We were able to get a standard room at Pop that overlooked the lake (and afforded us a great view of "Wishes" from our window), and it was perfectly quiet.

I haven't stayed at AoA yet, but for my money I would also choose Pop. You have your own bus like AoA. As others said you can walk over the bridge to try their food court if you can't find what you like, or if you're just curious. Also pop isn't as far away as the all stars.

We choose ASMu, and here's why:

*pop/AoA seem to be everyones choice, making it so much busier/noisier than the all-stars

*ASMo seems to be the favorite among the all-stars (probably due to theme) and ASSports seems to be the pick for large school sports teams

*in our experience, ASMu seems to be eveyone elses last choice, making it the "quietest" of the all-stars, while having a lovely food court and pool area (again, for the values). we haven't found any section to be a major walk to the buses and we have stayed as far back as broadway, right back by the quiet pool. we haven't stayed at value in a while, but when we do, we prefer ASMu

I am a huge fan of the Pop!

Clean, best busing on property, fun.

Downside is the room is small, but I am only in the room to sleep and shower!!!!

The main pool is fun, and petals pool bar is lively.

Honestly, we tend to go with whatever value is running the best rate for the time we are going. I think it may depend on how full they are, but it seems to rotate on which resort is just a little bit cheaper. We've stayed at POP multiple times, and once each at All Star Movies and All Star Music. I would agree that ASMusic is the quitest- then again, we stayed there for 3 days after marathon weekend which is one of the quietest times at the whole WDW Resort.
I would rank POP as the noisiest in our experience, but it's really hit and miss.
