Default Park hours this week -- holy smoke!

Just looked at the park hours for this coming week. I know it's peak season but I really feel for everyone who will be there in the next several days. Magic Kingdom hours tomorrow are 7 a.m. to 1 a.m., and the MK is open 'til 1 a.m. every night this week! AK is open 'til 9 p.m. almost every night!

For everyone who is or will be there, be nice to the CMs, be patient and try to have some fun!

I saw that too! I think that's awesome, but do feel a bit sorry for the CM's who won't be getting home until 3-5am. I've never been to MK so late at night and I think it'd be awesome though!

The problem this week, with it being the most crowded, or second most crowded, week of the year is that the crowds are so insane, even at night, that the cleaning crews can hardly keep up and sometimes they can't so by late evening MK, especially, can start looking a little nasty. Especially the bathrooms. And then they don't have much time to turn it around from closing to opening. It's a real drag on the CMs.

It has been several years ago....maybe around 2007 in the summer but Magic Kingdom was open until 3AM and we stayed until closing. We got in line for Space Mountain about 5 minutes before 3 and it still had about a 30 minute wait. It was after 4AM by the time we got out of the park and finally got on the boat to Fort Wilderness.

I actually prefer doing the parks at night but the problem is it is so crowded in the afternoon and evening and up until around 11:00PM. If they stayed open 24hrs every day, we would probably sleep during the day and get to the parks around 8:00PM.

I am here now. Its crowded but we are still doing what we want. Got last minute ressies for kona cafe for tomorrow night. Even had one for calli grill but decided kona was more affordable. Getting to ride want we want. Several at MK last night were walk ons.

There are more people here from the UK than anywhere else. Its been good so far!

We stayed at MK until midnight once when closing was 1 am. You practically walk onto every ride.

I'm here now as well. It's not nearly as bad as I anticipated. There are tons of people, but we're still getting on rides/attractions with smaller waits than I thought we'd encounter. I've been pleasantly surprised.

We leave on Saturday!! Can't wait!! Packing as we speak.... Anticipating that the weekend through Monday will be very crowded... at least that's what happened last year during our Spring Break trip, but by Tues-Sat. it was so nice!! Walked onto many rides!! Guess it pays to be on Spring Break the week AFTER Easter!

For what it's worth, we walked on Great Movie Ride, Backlot Tour and Star Tours yesterday afternoon at Hollywood Studios.

    50/50 for New England schools.

Some are this week; some are next week.

    Expect both to be packed.
