'Disney Movie Moments', New Program Announced for Children's Hospitals

The Walt Disney Studios recently announced Disney Movie Moments, a new program that brings current Disney theatrical releases into children's hospitals across America for patients who are unable to visit movie theaters. Disney is the first Hollywood studio to create a program of this kind, which will launch in more than 40 hospitals nationwide. Muppets Most Wanted will kick off the program as the first film available via Disney's Screening Room Application. Screening Room, a secure video streaming solution, will be pre-installed on special devices distributed to each hospital. As new Disney films hit theaters throughout the year they will be streamed directly to the hospital and made available for viewing.

Disney Movie Moments expands upon Disney’s enduring heritage of providing happiness, hope and laughter to kids and families when they need it most. Disney donates care packages to over 600 children’s hospitals, hospices, and Child Life Council programs each year as well as hosts screening parties and hospital visits by studio employees in an effort to provide a sense of comfort and normalcy to children during their hospital stay.

I love this!! We spent so much time in hospitals with my son. We became yearly visitors after his Make a Wish trip! They are amazing when it comes to bringing happiness to kids who struggle with health issues.
