Magic Band and FP + and 2 year old
We will be traveling with dh, myself, dd16, ds13, and ds2. Will DS 2 be issued any sort of band or does he not have to have one? For example, TSM. If we reserve a time for the 4 of us, does he just go in with us? Been a long time since we've had a little in the parks and couldn't remember how we did fast passes with our first 2 or if we did them at all.

No ticket, no bands, no need...
They will be subject to any height requirements, etc. You can do a child swap if they are unable to ride anything the rest of you want to.

Exactly! He will get to come with you, without a need for his own FP+. If there is something he can't go on (anything with a height requirement), a "rider swap" will help everyone get to ride without too much of an extra wait.

Wouldn't he still get a band though? When we took DS last year he was only 18 months so didn't need a ticket to get into the parks, but when we checked in they still issued him a Key to the World card. I can't remember for sure, but I was thinking that we normally had to put it through the machines when we went through the gates.
We're going again this October and DS will be 2, and it had me fill out info for him for the magic bands, so I assumed he would be getting a magic band as well.
Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks!
Kristina

My 2 year old did get a band given to him (our bands were shipped in advance). I don't see Disney NOT giving bands to infants, just imagine the bad feelings my two year old would have had if his 5 year old brother got to "scan your band!" while the two year old was left out. I am sure this is one of the reasons two year olds are given bands.
However, no two year needs FP+ reservations, he/she can simply go through the FP line with the adults who do have a FP reservation.

We had a 7 month old and a 2 year old on our last trip and they both had magic bands mailed to them along with the rest of their family's bands.
As far as FP+, since they did not have a ticket they weren't eligible for FP+, but they were able to enter the attractions with their parents, no need for a FP for them.

Thanks for the clarification on them receiving the bands.
