Refillable Mugs

I have not stayed at a Disney Resort for a few years; the last time we went we got mugs for everyone and used them at other resorts. Are these mugs refillable at any resort food court?

Unfortunately, the mugs are only useable at your resort. The new mugs are coming RFID (not sure if this is the specific technology) equipped and have certain limitations and other restrictions.

Technically, when you were using your mugs at other resorts, that was NOT allowed at that time.

Now, they are usable at all resorts, not just where you bought/staying.

Not sure but we stayed at WL and our friends stayed at CBR and were able to use their mugs at our resort.

Sometime last year, maybe about a year ago now.

I was down in the beginning of December of last year (2013) and the new RFID mugs were good at any resort. I took mine with me when I resort-hopped to look at the Christmas decorations. No problems refilling it anywhere.

We were able to use our RF mugs at CBR in August 2013; the mugs were purchased at AS Music.

Before our vacation, I had heard a rumor that with the implementation of RF, mugs would be usable at any resort. There was a notice posted near the beverage island in the CBR food court that confirmed this rumor. Before I attempted to get a beverage, I checked with one of the CMs, who advised that mugs embedded with RF chips are valid at any resort, during the length of stay during which the mug was purchased.

Yes just to confirm the refillable mugs are now good at all resorts no matter where you purchased them. They are not good at any park though.

Also with the RFID mugs you can buy them for a specific number of days not just open ended like the old ones. I don't know the advantage of not getting them for the entire number of days, but I do know that they work off of Midnight to 11:59 pm days, so if you purchase them at 9PM of the first nights arrival that your 1st day will count from then till 11:59 and your second day will start and 12AM.

As for refills I've been told there is a 2 minute window between each refill. I guess that is to inhibit or slow down those who would fill their mug then pour that into a larger container and refill immediately.
