sep.-oct. crowds

Can anyone tell me the best weeks to go in either Sep. or Oct., to avoid the crowds? Thanks!

We went around Columbus Day last October and the crowds were a nightmare. We usually go mid-September and the crowds aren't bad.

I think the last week of September and the first week of October are ideal. I've never encountered tremendous crowds during that time and the autumn/Halloween decorations are up to enjoy.

Many counties in Georgia are on fall break in September so the first week in October might be less crowded. That being said, we have been to WDW for our fall break in September many times and crowds have not been bad. Only down side has been the weather because it tends to rain a lot that time of the year.

This is Disneyland Resort Vacation Planning Forum. Although school holidays in both areas (CA & FL) may be similar other factors such as weather, attraction refurbishments, and special events also carry weight in crowd size and may be different on the two coasts during the same time of the year.

Oops! I'm sorry I didn't pay attention to the forum I was referring to WDW crowds since I have never been to DL. You probably won't find many of us Georgians out there during our fall break in September though

We have been the middle of sept. twice now and have found the crowds very manageable especially if you go Sunday through Wed at opening.
