Mardi Gras parade March 1?

We are going to extend our vaca by one day to go to the mardi gras festivities. Is the parade fun for girls 13 and 10? Will it be worth the extra $$? We haven't really done anything mardi gras before and thought it might be fun! Any other parade info is appreciated!

The Mardi Gras party/parade is a free event for anyone who is at the park that day. They also have a free concert on Mardi Gras days. You can find a schedule of who will be performing on the Universal web site.

I have never been there for Mardi Gras, BUT the first few years that Universal started having their Halloween Parties they had a Mardi Gras type parade. It was so much fun! The floats were fantastic and trying to catch the beads was a blast!

Universal knows how to throw a party so I think you will have fun.

We will be there this year during the Mardi Gras time frame, but they will not be having any parties while we are there.

I personally do not feel the parade is worth an extra days' park admission. It is a nice parade (I saw it 2 years ago), but not anything out of this world. Kids and teens will find the fact that they throw coins and beads out of the floats fun.If you like whomever is scheduled to perform for the Mardi Gras concert that evening then I'd consider it worth it.

Its Collective Soul..... Not anything we really care about. The orade looked like fun but its an extra $350 for the 3 hrs in Universal.

The Mardi Gras is not an extra ticketed event. It is a regular day's ticket with the parade and concert a bonus, just like Eat to the Beat at EPCOT. You still have all of the attractions and shows too.
