This is my number one tip for people who have never done Universal before......don't take anything into the parks that can't fit into your pockets.....if possible.

I have always liked going hands free (even in Disney) ever since my son was potty trained. It saves time and is more enjoyable in my opinion.

At least it worked out... The one complaint I have with the lockers is the time limit... They need to figure out a way to adjust for ride time... I wonder how many unsuspecting guests get tricked into paying without thinking...

With that said, I never go to the parks with anything that needs to be stored... I only had to last time cause one member of my party brought in a little nap sack type of bag and couldn't bring it on FJ or Dragon Challenge...

TRICIA JONES: I heard that you were going to propose to Brandi Svenning at some theme park. When are men going to learn that women want ROMANCE, not Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...

BRODIE: Hey, now, be fair. EVERYONE wants Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

No, they will make you put the fanny pack in a locker.

Glad I asked! Thank you. I assumed since it was strapped to you, that you could wear a fannypack. Good to know ahead of time. I would hate to find out last minute and have to get out of line to put it in a locker.

We are going at the end of May and have talked about sneaking away for a day at Universal, purely for the Harry Potter experience. We were going to stay at one of their resorts but decided the expense wasn't worth it or manageable within our time frame. We have two boys (ages 9 and 10) who have never been to Universal but love Harry Potter.

What do you all suggest? Is it worth taking a day away from WDW?
We went to Universal for the day on a trip last year the first week of March. We arrived within 30 minutes of park opening and had about a 20 min wait or so for Forbidden Journey. Very manageable. If your main interest is Harry Potter, Universal is very doable in a day.

We used the last day in a Costco special 2-park a day 3-day ticket package and hit our favorites in both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios and were back at the Beach Club by dinnertime.
