Newsies Celebrates Second Anniversary


Newsies, the Tony® Award-winning "Critics' Pick" originally announced for 101 performances in 2012 and now approaching its 900th performance, celebrates two years on Broadway tomorrow, March 29, at the Nederlander Theatre. Since bursting onto Broadway, Newsies has set and broken seven Nederlander Theatre house records on its way to becoming the highest grossing show of the 2011-12 Broadway season. The show received 23 major theatrical nominations—including eight Tony Award nods—and won Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Score and Choreography.
