    Default Different verandas?

Please explain the different verandas? We've only been on one Disney cruise and had a deluxe inside stateroom with the split baths on the Dream which made me crazy! The room was very nice, but i needed some outside space. Next time, hopefully October 2015, we want to book a verandah, but I'm not sure how to decide between the different choices.

Deluxe verandahs are a little bigger than normal ones. They stick out further on the ship & have the semi-lounge chairs like are found around the pool. I would love to have a large verandah one day, but I don't love how people above them can look down on them. That's a huge drawback, because they just don't seem as private as the smaller verandahs.

On the Classic Ships (Magic and Wonder) there are Navigator Verandahs. Think of these as a more intimate balcony. Rather than being open, they have a really large Porthole of sorts that is open to the outside. There are teak and tile decking and walls.

Then all ships have verandahs that are either labeled white wall or plexi-glass. White wall have a solid metal bottom part below the rail. Plexi-glass has the see through bottom part below the rail.

Some cabins have extended balconies that are noted above. These are great cabins IMHO since there is a covered area to get shade/privacy and the extended part for sun (but can be seen from above)

Can you tell I LOVE my balconies?!

I have been on two cruises with Disney and love the Verandah rooms. They are all great IMHO. I love sitting out there before dinner just watching the water go by. We have had the Navigators Verandah and the clear railing. I Liked the clear railing better. The navigators one was nice but you had to stand to see out. Its fine but I like to sit and feel like I am on a private island all my own watching the waves. I hope to book an oversized one for our next cruise. Only draw back is that they (oversized) are at the back of the boat mostly and you feel more of the ship moving back there.

On the Dream and Fantasy, there are extended balconies that are NOT aft! (although I still prefer the aft ones)
