    Default Vero Beach Eateries

I'm interested in any good eateries while staying at Disney Vero Beach. We have the Seafood Buffet and Pirate Dinner planned but need 3 more days of food so this time we're going to venture outside of the resort.

    Any must do's?

    Any must NOT do's?

We were there this past March for Spring Break and ate at The Green Cabin Room at the Disney resort. They have casual outside deck seating that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and it was just at sunset and it was really nice. The food was good, but the seating is limited outside and the service was a little slow, but we didn't mind too much because it was a beautiful view. The tables are bar stool type tables that seat four. The inside room is a bar with standard tables.

We didn't get a chance to do the Seafood Buffet or Pirate Dinner, but did eat a really good breakfast at Shutters one morning.

    Enjoy your stay.

Ed recommend Squid Lips and Captain Hiram's to me when we went but I didn't have time to try them. They are both in Sebastian.

    Default Thank you

I've actually had a cocktail at the Green Cabin Room.... all by myself after a spa treatment... on Mother's Day... overlooking the water.... aaaahhhh.

I'll add Squid Lips and Captain Hiram to our list. I'm thinking of making pasta dinner one night too. We have the full kitchen with the 2 bedroom, we should make use of it.

I do remember a small pizza/Italian restaurant on the corner on the way in to the resort, it was a white building, but can't remember the name. Some guests were walking to get takeout and said it was good. Just in case you don't want to cook.....walk and bring in takeout.

    Default Thanks

I like an Italian place. Thanks

Also, does Captain Hiram need reservations? We'll be there on the weekend. I don't think my 90+ in laws will be very patient.

    Default Not walking distance

We didn't even think of walking to Captn Hiram's when we went (had a good time) as my 90+ in laws were with us. And they had a problem getting to the pool from building 15.

No, it is about 8 miles away. There is very little within walking distance that I remember.
