Disney Springs Construction to Truly Begin

Land prep and a few cosmetic updates have been done but construction is getting ready to finally start in earnest... Lot H in Downtown Disney is now closed... This parking lot is the lot in front of Planet Hollywood... Work will soon begin on the new transportation hub... The lot has been walled off...

Does anyone know if the walking path from SSR to DD (Marketplace) is closed indefinitely now until construction is finished, or just temporarily? I read it is now closed but I'm wondering if this is for the duration of the Disney Springs construction, or just short term. We are staying at SSR in September...

Its the new name for Downtown Disney. They have an ambitious, third or fourth one by now, plans for the area. Maybe they will go through with everything and actually make it a fun area. My girl and I don't have children yet and are looking for a place to hang out at night after the parks. Its s.ucks, we were too young to enjoy it when they had all the clubs open and now there is basically nothing worth spending our time or money on, with the exception of Candy Cauldron and World of Disney.

There was a walkway open there in July that started along the golf course and connects to DD at the parking lot next to Cirque Du Soleil. We used it once the boats were shut down due to lightning.

I miss the Adventurer's Club. It was always my favorite stop in DTD. Hope they bring back some similar type of entertainment.

Wow... they really take their time.. Don't they?

I mean, we are in 2013! OK, almost 2014, but 2 to 3 years... seems a little bit too much... or is it just me that is hyper excited about anything Disney and want to see and experience everything NOW!?

used the walkway from SS to DD a few times when I took buses from the parks. too bad its closed. last trip I discovered bus to OKW from the parks then boat to DD.
I hope all of this is worth it. Pleasure Island is still missed
