Close to Universal

Is it possible to walk to Universal from hotels other then theirs? Also has anyone used the shuttle service from the nearby hotels? How was it? We will have a scooter and wheelchair in our group are the buses user friendly?

Is it possible? yes. Is it convenient? NO.
especially not with a scooter & wheelchair. You'd have to cross busy streets/highways, and there are no Hotels other than theirs that are very close (less than a mile). Can't give you advice on using shuttles, but I'd have to believe it would be easier than walking.

Personally I would not walk. As already stated you are walking across a highway. Universal Hotels are right on property. You don't even have to cross a street. Depending which hotel you are staying and which park you are going to, it takes as little as 5 mins to as long as 15 mins to walk. Any offsite hotels would take much longer than that.
