Second to the clown at BWI's pool anyone else find the serpent/lizzard, dragon... at FQ a little scary? Just was looking at pics today and I just can't embrace that pool slide..

The slide is my favorite part of FQ.
If it where painted in dark colors it might be a bit scary but it is painted in very bright colors and the alligators with their instruments are just so cute!
I will ride, I will fly, chase the wind and touch the sky.

That slide at FQ isn't as scary as what's in the food court! Yikes.

I love the Boardwalk slide, but I hate the clown. I have had a thing about clowns ever since I read Stephen King's It in 9th grade. There's a creepy clown hanging from a balloon in the last room of IASW. I hate that clown, too.

The French Quarter dragon doesn't bother me at all.

I took a stroll over to FQ from POR on our last trip. My kid and I were horrified at the creepy decor in the food court.

I agree. I love the pool area at POFQ, even the slide, but the food court just creeps me right out. I just don't look up.

Definitely agree that the food court at POFQ is creepy.

Another creepy sight is the little chairs on either side of the fireplace at Beach club.

I love the FQ one but the Boardwalk will never get a visit from me...clowns...Eeeesh...But yeah it isn't that creepy but if someone in your party is easily scared I'd avoid that resort, the resturant at POFQ is AMAZING but the decor is mad creepy lol

Haven't been there and trying to picture this - why is that creepy?

Do a google search for "creepy chairs beach club" and the first picture that comes up is one of the chairs.
They are little chairs fashioned to look like a little girl in a dress, but the face is that of a man ( or a bald girl) with golden sunbeams...or flower petals coming out of his head. Very strange.

My wife was traumatized by Pennywise too at a young age. Don't know if we'll ever be able to stay there. Even when watching the resort DVD she walks out of the room!

Gotta say the first time i cut through the Boardwalk pool area and saw the Clown, i gasped. Creepy, Awful, Horrible. I never wanted to stay at the Boardwalk primarily due to my aversion to that Clown,

Fast forward to this year. Wanted to stay at an Epcot Resort and everything was booked. Big convention at the S&D, and nothing available at the Y&B. But the Boardwalk Villas had availability. So i reluctantly took it.

After several visits to the pool, the creepiness started to go away. So i guess i kinda got used to the Clown. Still not a fan, but at least i know that i can enjoy the Boardwalk and the pool without shuttering every time i see that slide.

I just hope none of you ever go to Walmart. Some of the sites there give me the heeby-jeeby's.

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're NOT out to get you!
