    Default Birthday Dinner

I need some suggestions. We will be celebrating my son's 14th birthday at Disney in January. I am looking for suggestions for a birthday dinner. I want someplace that is going to make a big deal out of his birthday, maybe embarrass him a little or a lot would be great.

We have had GREAT birthday dinners at the Prime Time Cafe. They make the birthday person stand up so all the tables can sing to you! And they brought my daughter three desserts and told her she had to eat them all!

You don't say if you're wanting a restaurant in a particular park or in a resort.

For resort, 1900 Park Fare is good at supper. Lady Tremaine will do a great job of embarrassing your son. Even if it's not his birthday.

For park, some Epcot resorts are good. I had good celebrations at Marrakesh at Morocco and at Tokyo Dining at Japan. Not so much embarrassing, as with Lady Tremaine, but with plenty of attention. And at Tokyo Dining I got this amzing miniature Origami crane that I suspect even a 14 year old boy would treasure, if only secretly.

If you haven't been to Whispering Canyon recently, you might want to check out the menu. They no longer have the all you can eat "skillet" that they served for many years. The new "skillet" is not even a skillet. The food comes out on white plates and it's not nearly as good (the beef is actually pieces of eye round roast). We used to love going here but won't anymore....that is, unless they bring back the old skillet!!!!! You no longer get the salad with the meal either...it's an extra charge.

We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge last visit and from what I observed, it was neither crowded not did I ever see a waiting line.

Hoop Dee Doo was fun and they acknowledge birthdays. Of course, it is expensive but it was fun. And I agree with Janmac about the 1900 Park Fare.
