    Mar. 17, 2001 – The Disney animated series House of Mouse aired the episode “Donald’s Lamp Trade,” and “Rent Day.”
    Mar. 17, 2001 – The United Kingdom Pavilion at WDW’s Epcot celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with special food, decorations, and entertainment. Storyteller Darby O’Gill and the Butler School of Irish Dance performed throughout the afternoon. The Rose & Crown Restaurant served traditional green beer and green Sprite, as well as corned beef, cabbage, Irish stew and soda bread.
    Mar. 17, 2001 – The National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. presented an exhibit called “The Architecture of Reassurance: Designing the Disney Theme Parks” and was displayed until August 5, 2001.
    Mar. 17, 2002 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired “Snow White: The Fairest of Them All” for the first time.
    Mar. 17, 2004 – Exxon Mobile ended its sponsorship of Epcot’s Universe of Energy Pavilion in WDW.
    Mar. 17, 2005 – “The Mice on Disney’s Board” an article by Roy E. Disney and Stanley P. Gold was published in the Los Angeles Times.
    Mar. 17, 2005 – The “Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters” attraction opened in Disneyland.
    Mar. 17, 2005 – Actress Julia Andrews (the star of Disney’s 1964 classic feature Mary Poppins) attended a charity performance of the London Stage Musical Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre.
    Mar. 17, 2005 – The Live Show “Cinderellabration” began its soft opening at the Magic Kingdom at WDW. (The show was imported from Tokyo Disneyland as part of the “Happiest Celebration on Earth.)
    Mar. 17, 2011 – Disney released a statement saying that it has “Temporarily Suspended all its Administrative and Store operations in Tokyo” after 28 of its 47 Disney Stores in Japan have been closed due to damage from the Mar. 11, 2011 earthquake.
