pre-purchasing merchandise

I have a different little mission that I am trying to accomplish for this trip to WDW. I am going to be surprising my 4 nephews at the theme parks next month, and I would really like to get something for them in advance.

I would really like to get them each Mickey Ears with their names embroidered on them and give them to them when I surprise them. The only problem that I have is that I am arriving the day before they do, but it isnt until 8pm and I am surprising them the next morning.

I e-mailed Disney about this 3 weeks ago and I still don't have answer. I tried doing the online chat with a cast member and she gave me a phone number to call, which I did but it was to have it shipped to me. Then I would have to take them on the plane and everything with me.

I would really like for them to be delivered to the hotel or be able to pick them up at downtown disney or one of the theme parks when I arrive. Does anyone know if this is even possible?

If its not then I have to come up with a different plan.

you might be able to pull that off if you go to downtown Disney and go to design a tee i think they do embroidery service till like 11 or 12 at night... its just a thought

I was thinking the same thing! DTD is open late, or if you're really stuck I'm sure the Disney Florist could help (they have embroidered ears), but I'm not sure what the upcharge would be.

There are a number of "personal shopping" services for Disney, but I've never used any of them.

I bought embroidered ears for my girls from the Disney Store online and had them shipped to my house as a Christmas surprise announcement for our recent February trip.

How early in the morning are they arriving? MouseGears in Epcot will do the embroidery while you wait so if time permits you could hop over there first thing in the morning.

I am supposed to meet them at the studios for the first day at park opening. They are driving all night so we figured they could do studios..take a break...and then come back.

I thought about going to downtown disney to get them, BUT like I said my flight arrives in orlando at around 8:30pm, and I figure it will be at least 9:30 before I even get to the hotel via the magical express. so I dont think I will have enough time to get from Carribean Beach to Dowtown Disney before the stores close at midnight.

It would be close, but I think you could make it if you dropped your stuff and booked it... How hardcore do you want to do this? Lol.

Otherwise, I'd check the Disney Store online, or even head into a Disney Store and talk to a CM. The ones in Atlanta are incredibly knowledgable and really know their Disney!

Have them embroidered and sent to your home as mentioned before. Then send the ears and anything else you may not want to take on your flight or place in your luggage to your hotel via FedEx or UPS. We do it all the time, and when you check in they will bring out your package. I know it's a little extra effort and cost, but FedEx ground is pretty inexpensive.

Couldn't you order it at disneystore.com and have them delivered to the resort?

We did this a few years back with our nieces and nephews at their first WDW trips.

We took a slightly different approach that might work for you too.

We went in with them, let them pick their own hat and then got it embroidered. We all had alot of fun trying on, then selecting ears!
