....snacks and 'drinks" can add up quickly ...so we take our own. Now ...we drive, so that makes it infinitely easier than schlepping stuff on a plane. But that said, we take a 32 count case of soda (diet coke), I bring a 12 pack of some premium beer ...some bottles of "hard liquor". You'd be surprised at the difference that one thing can make in daily outlay of cash. Snacks ....like those 100 calorie packs of chips, pretzels, nuts, cookies...also save you some serious $$ when someone blurts out, "I'm hungry".

....I'm not saying that we don't buy drinks and or snacks in the resort or the parks ...because we definitely do. And I won't carry snacks to the parks....at all. But it's both a convenience and a $$ saver to have the stuff I mentioned in the room. (particularly when the bar in the resort is closed at 2am!!)

For us,we drive instead of fly. There are six in our family, so it adds up quickly. Plus, we like having a car. We stay offsite in a condo with a kitchen. I refuse to cook, because I'm on vacation too, but it's nice to have a refrigerator for breakfast items and a stove for light snacks. I always go to a nearby supermarket on our first morning and stock up on snacks and drinks. (Especially bottled water.) We've bought an igloo cooler backpack and use it in the parks for drinks. We've found some wonderful restaurants that are right off property that have become our favorites. They are a fraction of the cost of restaurants on property. We use an authorized ticket vendor to purchase discounted tickets.
