Default Bus Transportation - BC and BW ?

Found out the hard way that there is no bus transportation between Epcot and Y/B Club (and also Boardwalk). I realize that these resorts are adjacent to Epcot, but seriously? Two DELUXE resorts and no direct bus transportation. Sign says that you need to take 2 busses, to DTD and then the resort. OMG !!
If you're someone who thinks that you have the WDW transportation methods memorized, be sure to re-visit the options close to/during your visit. Cutbacks have changed some of the options.

I'm sorry for your troubles. While there isn't bus service, there is boat service. Is there a reason that you couldn't take the boat to Epcot (or vice versa)?

I don't think there has been bus transportation to those resorts from Epcot in a very long time, if ever. Once upon a time, there used to be a shuttle that would run between resorts there but that has been gone for a while. The best option is to exit through the International Gate between France and the United Kingdom and either walk or take the boat.

I don't recall there ever being bus service either. We always walked
23 times since 1993 and still counting

I'm sorry, but why would you need bus service? There is the boat and the walkway, both of which would get you into Epcot in 5 min or less. I'm sorry you weren't aware of this before your trip, but it's been this way forever. The only time they set up a bus between DHS and the Epcot resorts is when the weather is REALLY bad and the boats are not operating, but it's rare for the weather to be that bad (I'm talking like hurricane type weather here).

This is not a cutback. If you look at the roads, it actually takes more time to travel from the Epcot bus stop to the YC/BC or BWI than it does to simply walk.

By the time I realized that there was no bus option, I was at the front of the park and my feet were killing me so it was very painful to walk all of the way back to the Int. Gateway. My bad, I guess.

Ouch. Yeah, that would be rough. Sorry that happened to you. One of those lessons you had to learn the hard way, I guess.

I remember something similar happening to us on our first stay at BC. We had gone to Animal Kingdom, then onto MK, and then decided "let's take the monorail to Epcot and walk back to the hotel through the park." Sounded like a great idea at the time, and then as soon as we got to Epcot, it started POURING rain. That was a fun walk back to the BC with no umbrellas...
