Default Tip to get to DD from Parks

maybe this should go in a diff area, but usually i dont rent a car unless w someone who insists. i used to get a bus to SS from the park to go to DD, but this time i got off at a far stop, waited for the DD bus and it went behind and around DD cause of some work on the bus stop at the marketplace so only the PI stop was running.
so while leaving HS, was waiting for SS bus but OKW bus pulled up, so i hopped that for the first time, got off at the first stop which is close to the main building and took the boat to DD...it was a lot better and i got to get a quick look at OKW that way.

I'm not sure if this is the fastest way to go, but it sure sounds like a pleasurable way to travel to DD. Good call.

I've gone to Downtown Disney via Old Key West. Pleasant way to travel but not necessarily the quickest.

If you get the right stop at SS you can walk. I did like the OKW way though, since ive never gotten to see OKW and the boat ride was nice. one of the reasons i like POFQ was the boat to DD. after seeing OKW id think about staying there depending on price

There's all sorts of ways to get around...

From MK, Epcot, or MGM, heading (walking) to the closest resort (Contemporary, Beach Club or Boardwalk) may be fastest.

From AK I'd probably do SSR and walk.

In prior years, at least during busy times, there were busses directly to (not from) DtD, but I imagine with merch sales in the toilet, it's not profitable. To be honest, I don't have much reason to go to DtD anymore, if we have gone, it's usually a non park day, and we would go right from the resort.

We've tried catching a DTD bus at one of the Monorail resorts and it has never worked out for us. At the Contemporary we waited for over 45 mins and decided to bag it and walked back to the MK bus stop and grabbed a bus back to our resort. Another time at GF was a similar result. Luck of the draw, I guess.
