have a reservation Feb 2-9 w Karen at MJ w an AP discount for AOA lion king then WL..due to some issues probably have to downgrade at least the WL reservation. she said nothings available for the 5th for 4 nights at value or mod even at reg rates..wow is something going on that all are booked now. she said she will keep checking though.

The National Automobile Dealers Association convention is that week at the Orange County Convention Center on International Dr. It draws a large crowd so don't be surprised if WDW is busy during the afternoon and evenings that week.

The convention runs 2/8-2/11 so there will be a lot of attendees checking in a few days before, around 2/5 and some will hang around a few days after to around 2/13. The days before the convention, the parks will probably be busier than normal for this time of year and also the days after. During the convention, the mornings until early afternoon will probably be light at the parks but beginning around 2:00-3:00PM the convention attendees will start showing up in the parks and it will get busier until closing time. At least that is how it has always been when I attended a big convention at the Orange County Convention Center this time of year.

Did you try flipping the resorts so the value/mod is first and AoA is 2nd? Might work out.

This action- packed event will feature eight professional teams competing in pre-season soccer tournaments at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. In 2012, Fans traveled from across the U.S. and Canada to get up close and personal with their favorite teams at this premiere spring training soccer event.
The participating teams are Sporting Kansas City, Toronto FC, Philadelphia Union, Columbus Crew, DC United, Montreal Impact, Orlando City, Tampa Bay Rowdies

You also have a Field Hockey showcase there Feb 6-10 and the National Dance Competition Feb 2 and 3 (just an FYI). Lots of things at the ESPN complex which account for the rooms being tied up.

did find POR royal rooms for 5 nights and FW cabins for 2 w AP, that did work out to be a couple hundred $ cheaper than my other reservations..thanks Karen at MJ
it will b only my second stay at POR...havent since 911..and it will b my first in a cabin.
ill just hope the parks arent too bad

I checked yesterday & could only find a preferred room at Pop for the 1st - 3rd for my wifes bday.
I was curious as well as to why they were all booked.
Ended up not doing it since flight prices were ridiculous.

Also, the month of February brings lots of machinery dealers to the Orlando area for 3 different auctions that run from Feb 2-23
Lots of my clients are telling me they plan on staying at/around Disney while they're here for auctions.

We are going to be there the 31st of Jan to 4 Feb. I was hoping for light crowds as well. Two days ago I changed our ASMusic room to POR. They had Garden View available. Sunday the 3rd should be light since that is the Super Bowl.

so glad we will be arriving on the 23rd of feb. And here I thought I was going to have to deal with cheerleaders or dance girls or the over seas rude peeps. well hoping for a low crowd. 28 days and counting.
