Day 8 Animal Kingdom (11/5)
Back to AK today. We got there a little later, and got fast passes for another safari, this one wasn’t quite as exciting. We had lunch at Tusker House with Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy. This was the first time there. It was a nice different buffet and nice and spread out. The girls kept saying “We are NOT going to Dinosaur!” It was funny… We saw the Festival of the Lion King, which Josh seemed to enjoy as he was dancing to it. The girls were asked to go and be part of the parade at the end, but they were too shy… (How my girls are the children of two performers is beyond me, they have theatre in their DNA, and they want nothing to do with spotlights or attention.).. So we did all that we could do including going over to Rafiki’s and back. We got a few more autographs and pictures. We decided at about 4 to head over to Hollywood Studios and see if there was anything we could do there that we hadn’t done the other day. Sammy agreed to Tower of Terror so we grabbed some fast passes for later, and went over to Star Tours. Both Alex and Sam were chosen as the rebel spy on different rides… that was pretty cool. The scariest moment of the vacation was when we were in the store after the Star Tours ride, Shaun and I had Josh between us, Shaun must have looked up and I looked down but neither of us looked at Josh, and then we looked at each other and he was gone. It was a moment of complete panic. It was dark outside. We looked around and yelled his name and didn’t see him anywhere. Then about 15 seconds later he comes running into the store from the outside. HOLY COW~! That was SO SCARY! He was fine, we were a mess. He just asked for food. So we headed to get him a pretzel and get the girls on Tower of terror. We took our turns and closed out the park. (At 7pm) On the way out there was a HUGE line getting in. I think it must have been a Pop Warner event because those t-shirts were all over the place.
