Day 3 BIRTHDAY The BIG 40!!! EPCOT (Fri 11/30)
Today we went to Epcot. We wanted to stay out of MK today and tomorrow since they were taping the Holiday Parade those days. We started off with getting fastpasses for Soarin, which of course is always fun to park the strollers, haul in up the hill, down the stairs, get the passes, up the stairs, down the hill… you know the drill. Then to imagination with time spent in the play lab. I wish my kids had the play lab that I had as a kid… it was so much better then! Then to NEMO. And turtle talk with Crush. Crush even came out in a bikini and was blushing saying that it was mine. It was nice to get Happy Birthdays everyone where we went. We had lunch at Sunshine seasons. Did Soarin fast pass and rider switch so the girls could ride twice. I think at some point we were in the Innoventions and the girls did the fire safety. Josh is in love with fire trucks, so he played on that for a while. Dinner for my birthday was at Ohanas. Nana came too. I have been wanting to have my 40th birthday dinner there since I first ate there 3 years ago. It did not disappoint. (Tho the lady with the ukulele could stop talking and singing every now and then for a few minutes… quiet is not necessarily a bad thing!) We had a good table kind of in a corner which was good with Josh who is not known for staying in his chair too well. The dinner was delish. I was brought a birthday cupcake and they sang happy birthday to me. After we took the monorail to EPCOT and walked through on our way back to Boardwalk. Nana then offered to stay with the kids so Shaun and I could go out for a little while for my birthday. WOW! Cool. Shaun and I rarely get to go out anywhere… only problem is we are so tired! But we went down to the Boardwalk and each got a grown up beverage and some cinnamon roasted almonds… and sat and watched the water, and some street performers.. and then actually I had a blister on my toe, and my feet really hurt and I just wanted to sleep… (I know I live the wild and crazy life).

Even though you were too tired to really take advantage of it, it sounds like it was nice to get some adult time together. Glad you enjoyed your birthday dinner!!

I celebrated my 40th @ WDW. It was my best birthday ever. Ohanas is a great birthday dinner spot. So glad you had a great birthday....blisters and all.
