This will be the first time taking ME and I was wondering if you tip the driver?

    In my experience, usually yes.

I've heard stories of drivers getting somewhat "aggressive" (for lack of a better word) word guests when they thought they weren't going to get tipped... at that point I'd vote "no". But in general, yes.

Since the driver stows our carry on luggage and then pulls it out again at the resort, we tip him/her.

Thank you...I'm glad I thought to ask. Now another question, how much? I suppose I should have asked that originally!!!!

Typically, $1-$2 per bag handled. If no bags are handled by the driver, I'd still tip at least a couple of bucks.

    Excellent! Have fun!

Additional Tip: Before I go I like to budget my tipping and make sure I get enough small bills from the bank so I'm ready to tip when the time comes. Then I don't have top ask "Honey... Do you have any singles or 5's?" I figure ME will probably deserve a tip both ways, I usually take 2 cab rides, "Mousekeeping" always appreciates a tip, and I usually store bags with bell services and/or have groceries delivered.

Thank you all. I did make it to the bank before my Jeep died in the middle of town so I didn't get everything done I needed to but hey....in 3 hours we'll be on our way to the airport! I guess I'll just have to sleep on the plane!

I always tip at least a couple of dollars. And yes, making sure you have lots of singles is a smart thing. Makes life so much easier!

I always make sure I have a bunch of singles and a number of 5-dollar bills at the start of a trip so that tip money is readily available as needed.
