Recent Villain Sightings

Hello everybody! I'm normally pretty self-sufficient when it comes to character hunting, but since it's been over a year since I last traveled to the world I'm sure some things have changed. Have there been any villain sightings at the parks recently. I normally go to WDW for Halloween but I will be going down in May this year, so I know that any villains pickings will be scarce but I would still like to try and meet some. I've already resigned myself to the fact that I will not be able to meet my favorite villain, Frollo, but I still hope to perhaps meet some other baddies, especially the Snow Queen (my second fav). I could honestly care less about meeting the Queen of Hearts/Captain Hook (they're not that great of villains in the first place), but has anybody seen some truly bad baddies (Jafar, Lady Tremaine, Maleficent) anywhere in the parks lately (International Gateway/MGM Characterpalooza!)? Thanks so much!

Lady Tremaine and her two daughters have been rotating with the Fairy Godmother on the top of the left ramp on the side of the castle. That may have changed though.

I have seen captain hook and Darth Vader at HS.

I saw that Jafar was at the Animation Building in DHS yesterday. Not sure how regular that is though.

I've seen the Evil Queen, Jafar, Queen of Hearts, and Captain Hook all at the animation building. I found a secret out a few years ago. Apparently late in the afternoon around 3 or so they let all the newbies come out in character and practice. We have seen Mary Poppins and the penguins, Pocohantas and Meeko, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb, Pinocchio, Belle (in her blue dress) and the others previously mentioned. We always find some rare characters here during this time.

My main targets are Maleficent, Jafar, Snow Queen, and Governor Ratcliffe. I realize that Maleficent is extremely rare, however I thought that maybe in light of the popularity of the Kingdom Keepers books they might be bringing her out more :P

Maleficent is a very unlikely possibility (even with the KK books). Oddly enough, the best place to look for her is EPCOT, either around the Character Spot area or the International Gateway (both are training locations).

Jafar and the Snow Queen both alternate at the Animation Building in DHS. Captain Hook is out at the Animation Building in at least one set every day of the week, however normally every day he alternates sets with a different villain (usually Jafar, the Snow Queen, or the Queen of Hearts).

I believe for all intents and purposes, Ratcliffe has been retired. He no longer meets at AK, and he is never at DHS. I think the only time his costume gets any use is during the Fantasmic performances.

Well I'm very glad I saw Ratcliffe a few years ago!I had no idea he would be retired soon after. How about Dr. Facilier? How regular is he?

He's not. He only comes out during MNSSHP (at least, he was out last year).

And he's EXTREMELY popular at the party. Huge lines.

These villains do come out for the races too. My fav pic this year from the Marathon (or maybe it was the Princess Half) was my husband with the villains. Very cool how they had them set up! So...you could enter the races and see them.

That sounds like it would be fun! I kinda had a feeling he would be that popular at MNSSHP. Oh well, he is my second favorite, to me he is worth the wait!

Why is Maleficent so rare? I wish they'd bring Oogie Boogie Man out along with Jack & Sally for permanent meet & greets. TNBC is our family favorite!

My biggest desire is Jafar because on our first trip we saw him and he sufficiently creeped me out (I was 15 lol) and We've never seen him since! Second would be Malificient, she is my favorite and was my inspiration for my World of Warcrack character lol she's just so darn cool! I'm a big villians girl though, I would squeal myself into a corner if I could ever get a picture with the hyennas from Lion King.
