Default Adult Trip Questions - Keys to Kingdom

We are going to Disney in early February (1st week) and are considering doing the Keys to the Kingdom Tour.

    Any advice? Worth it? Not?

What else would you recommend for us to do while at WDW without our kids?

    Thanks! Looking forward to it!

We did the Keys to the Kingdom tour a few years ago. I really enjoyed it! I still have the gold coin I got when we helped decorate one of the Christmas floats they were working on when we went by. I learned a few things I didn't know and had fun seeing the underground tunnels, costume shop & laundry and entering & exiting the park through the secret CM doors I never knew were there. I still pass by a few and remember emerging from them to surprised guest faces. I would do it again and probably will, since I need to refresh my memory.

Did the KttKT in February of this year. I enjoyed it.
I would also suggest renting a boat from one of the Monorail resorts and just go explore Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake.

We loved the Keys to the Kingdom tour. It is really cool seeing the behind the scenes areas of the MK. We were told about the windows on Main Street, perspective on Main St, info on a couple of rides (PoC, HM, Splash, Hall of Presidents), then we went backstage where the ride floats are stored and the garbage system lands, then underground into the utilidors. It really makes you appreciate how much thought went into the MK! We never saw the laundry or the costume shop- I think that is on a different tour. Oh, and we did get lunch at the Columbia Harbour House. It was a great day!

The steam train tour is pretty amazing as well!

Oh, and without your kids try Artist Point at the WL. It is a wonderful restaurant but not one that kids would love.

The Keys to the Kingdom tour is informative and well worth it, but the Segway tour is probably the most fun I have had as an adult without kids!! LOVE SEGWAY!!

My husband and I did the tour Summer 2011 and loved it. We both learned so much!! We loved seeing the utilidors and the behind the scenes stuff (parade floats and some ride secrets). We had a good lunch at Columbia Harbor House and got a "gold key" souvenir. It was well worth it!! When my son is old enough, I may even do it again!! It didn't spoil the magic for me, only enhanced it!! Enjoy!! Don't forget to use your Disney Visa (if you have it) for a discount too!!

Good information! Thinking about doing a "solo" trip next Jan. and this would be a great thing for me to do. Thanks for asking the question.

I know they don't allow kids on this tour because of what they show, but would they allow toddlers? My son will be 19-months old and we would love to do this tour. TIA!
