I don't believe it is anything close to a simulator... It will be an actual mountain... I don't know how much anything is true, but some have said it would even have an AA of the Grinch somewhere in the ride... I'm thinking a cross between Matterhorn and Everest, just not too thrilling since it is going into Dr. Seuss, a land kind of made for kids...

I'm guessing this will go in the open area behind CITH and OFTF where they currently do the meet and greets?

This is where they used to put up the seasonal grinch attraction.

Hopefully its not another hippogriff/woody woodpecker kiddie coaster. I would like a little more story and substance to the ride.

Wonder if this is their response/answer to the 7 dwarves mine ride? I would love to see the interior of mount crumpit recreated from the animated film. (not the carrey version) I can picture the peak being where an AA grinch is saving the sled full of toys from dropping off the cliff.

Interesting (or not) tidbit: I grew up near Springfield, MA birthplace of Theodore Geisel (Dr. Seuss), home of Mulberry Street, and also near the mountain that Seuss used as inspiration for the Grinch's home. Which means, I guess also the valley that was Whoville. Maybe I'm a Who.

There are three projects currently out there, 971, 411, and 896.. 971 is Springfield... My understanding is 411 and 896 are the two I just mentioned, but I'm trying to clarify...

Interesting twist... It is very possible Mt. Crumpit wasn't given the greenlight... Instead, it is very possible, Universal decided to go with a Lorax attraction... Mt. Crumpit was on the drawing board, but then Universal Creative came up with a Lorax ride that the execs at Universal Orlando really feel in love with...

I'm posting this in here instead of starting a new thread because, well, it fits here perfectly... Well, it seems like Comcast/Universal is preparing to drop $1.5 billion into the resort... Now, I do not know if that already includes the two projects on their way (Potter expansion and Transformers), but, $1.5 billion, that is a nice number... Looking like Universal is in for a nice Universal Decade...

I was so happy to read about the 1.5 billion investment! Does anyone know if the 1.5 billion will include the new Loews resort? Everything I've read has said "Universal resort", but I'm not sure if Loews is exclusively footing the bill for the 4th resort? I'm hoping more $$$ for more/high quality rides.

Universal is definitely on a roll.
