Glad it was nothing serious. That's one ride I could easily give up. I've been on once and it was pretty jerky. We all came off with aches and pains, including my kids. We've never been on it again.

But in general, women who get dizzy now and then might want to try an iron supplement. A lot of women are low iron and don't know it, which can also cause minor dizziness. Of course, checking with your doctor is always a good idea, but adding an iron supplement might do the trick in some cases.

It's good you were able to rule out more serious issues and now know what to avoid in the future to prevent a reoccurrence!!

It might help to take a decongestant in small doses next time you cruise or if you want to try some spinning rides in the future without the dizziness side effect.

I find if I take ONE Sudafed tablet (normal dose is two) at times when I am feeling just a bit congested, I can do stuff without getting dizzy that normally would make me so. Sudafed (the real stuff, that you get behind the pharmacy counter) works REALLY well at unclogging fluid in your inner ear, and keeping things settled in there.

I'm glad it is nothing serious.

But, it reminded me of an issue I had a couple of years ago. We'd been on a Disney cruise, then took the AutoTrain back to DC. A couple of hours later I went to the washroom at the American History Museum, and I swore that the cubicle was moving.

My body was so sick of ship movement, then train movement, it had no clue what to do!

It went away later the same day, I had to get land legs back after sea legs and train legs.

It always surprises me how much trouble our ears can cause.

Body Wars and Space Mountain used to do that to me.
