The Magical and Not So Magical

August 26th 2012Arrived at Orlando Airport early, Matilde was our driver, and she was terrific. Arrived at POFC early, asked for a room change, and got it. Went to the rooms, one was not cleaned.reported it. Went to RFC in DNTWN Disney, met my baby brother,wife, and two kids for dinner. We had a great time. Took the bus back to POFQ. Room not made up yet. After two phone calls, and an in person visit to the lobby two Mousekeepers were sent, and they did an awesome job.
August 27th, RAIN, went to MK, did all the indoor rides with no waits. Sun sort of came out, and we were able to do Splash Mountain. We had no wait times. Went back for swimming, then to The WAVE for dinner. I loved it, dtr and grdtr not so much.
August 28th Tuesday: RFC for breakfast at AK, it was excellent. Made most rides with no wait time. At 11:00 a.m. skies opened up, and we got soaked. Went back to resort, it was good enough for swimming in the pool. Have ressies at Tusker House for dinner. Wanted to cancel....Concierge told me "No,No,No", there would be a ten dollar charge for each person for cancelation....We made a concerted effort to go....The buffett was okay, dtr loved it, me not so much. Got on bus to dwntwn Disney, it took one hour to get there in the pouring rain....walked around and went to Ghiredellis for ice cream.....a good day was had by all.......August 29th Wednesday, EPCOT,very successful, got FP for Soarin....did Nemo, Energy, the Land tour by boat, decided to eat earlier at the Beer Garden, we had a blast. The food was okay, and no one left hungry. Went back to SOARIN, then to the hotel, swam, and went back to the Magic Kingdom for fireworks. Ate at the bakery on Main Street and a CM gave me a pizza cookie. She was so sweet, and welcomed us to the MK. Then Wishes, OMG, so beautiful, Making Memories.....On Thursday August 30th, Hollywood Studios....Again no wait times, just walked onto everything. Ate at the Sci Fi Diner, and it was good. Went back to resort, changed, and went to the Boardwalk and ate at Kouzzina for dinner. It was excellent, everyone agreed. My surprise for my dtr and grdtr was a pontoon boat ride for Illuminations. Another Disney family from Massachusetts joined us, and our boat captain Cindy was also from MA, how lucky were we? If you have never the done the boat tour and Illuminations, you should try. It was great. We had so much fun. Got back to our rooms, and packed to go home. A good time was had by all....... We will be back.....

Seems the rain cleared things out for you... not fun to deal with when it really pours, but the "after" part is nice! Glad everyone had a great time!
